A few interesting thoughts...

My son turned 27 yesterday. The last I time I saw him I believe he was 15 or 16. Before that he was 2. Needless to say our relationship when he was a teen was less than close. I just didn't know or understand him nor did I have the patience. Regrets? In spades. Sure his mother was controlling and didn't allow him to visit until I nearly died back in 96 but still....

My dad's birthday is coming up the end of March and I really wish I could be there with the family to celebrate, but the timing just isn't right. I don't have peace leaving at this point and I have many projects to develop and bring online and update.

Enough for now. Time to break out my guitar and play some blues. At least I have something to say when I play tonight.

Beating The Drum

I'll add thoughts and issues I believe are relevant imo and what I feel is affecting us as a nation over the coming days and weeks so please bear with me.

It will start to get packed in here over time but we'll try to keep the blog house here organized and clutter free which is my own way of dealing with things if you get my meaning.

The old saying 'life is a beach, then you die' I plan on flipping the script on that age old mantra and get more beach time/prosperity for the family before I check out.

One thing I'm definitely going to do is go back home as often as possible. Not going home for all these years has definitely had an effect on me and I'm way past ready.

That's my dad in the photo. A Korean vet and my personal hero. Far from perfect but a real friend and an example of how a person can overcome and come out the other side if his heart is in the right place. He's everything I wish I was but am not or perhaps I lived the way he wished he'd risked trying to but took a different path. Regardless, our paths are parallel, we are different but the same in spirit.
